What is Scrip? Scrip is a term that means “substitute money.” When you purchase scrip, you are purchasing gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for your school. How Scrip generates revenue for Carroll Catholic School You place your order for gift cards from a list of hundreds of retailers. The CCS Scrip program then places the large school/parish order on Sunday afternoons. CCS buys the scrip from Great Lakes Center at a discount and you pay the full face value. The discount, ranging from 2%-15% is our profit. How to place your order: When placing orders, try to budget ahead for future purchases. Order forms are available in Thursday packets, at the back of church, the Carroll School office, and at Market Day. Complete the order form, attach your check made payable to Carroll Scrip, and drop off at the following locations: 1. The rectory mail slot 24 hours / day 2. The Carroll School office 3. Market Day 4. After masses Or Shop Online! If you choose you can shop from the convenience of your home at www.shopwithscrip.com. It is super easy. You register and log on. Choose Carroll Catholic School/Lincoln, IL. The enrollment code is C3E4F1A25185. You place your order online and print out your online purchase order. Then you MUST drop off your payment & purchase order at one of the following locations listed above. Once payment is received your order will be processed the next Sunday. Orders received by Sunday will be available for pick up after 7 days at the following locations: 1. Carroll School Office 2. Market Day 3. After masses We will have some gift cards on hand for immediate delivery at Market Day and after masses. We want this to be as easy and convenient for you as possible. This is a great fundraiser for CCS! You don’t have to sell anything and all we are asking is that you spend the money you already spend on groceries, gas, clothing, fits, etc. with scrip first!
